Freight haulage is the main business of the company. Each year, Chedos invest in the development of vehicle fleet over 2 mil EUR.
They focus, in particular, on conventional platform semitrailers. The company also own several freight vehicles with loading capacity of up to 16 tonnes and a few trucks of 1.5 to 7.5 tonnes of total weight. The versatility of the vehicle fleet allows the company to forward various consignments.
Scania, Volvo, Mercedes, Iveco, Daf, Schmitz, Berger and Krone are names that need not mean anything to the customer. However, they mean a lot to a specialist. They mean that Chedos focus on top quality car makes meeting the most demanding criteria of reliability and safety, which are, in addition, friendly to the environment.
The distance and borders do not pose any problem. The continual and instant communication with the car crew is a matter-of-course. All vehicles are fitted with the satellite navigation system GARMIN and GPS (Global Positioning System). These systems aid the driver to find the shortest and the fastest road to the customer.
The load dispatching centre and authorised customers can monitor the position of the truck and shipment conditions on-line. At any time, we can say the exact position of any vehicle anywhere in Europe, we can see whether it has stopped, or is moving, what route had it travelled today, yesterday, last week, or month. We have the latest data of how many hours has the driver spent behind the steering wheel and what distance is he still able to travel.
For the most reliable clients, Chedos offer about 30 vans and pick-ups available through an operational leasing.
